PIX returns as PIE!

The much beloved Pittsburgh Independent Comics Expo (PIX) will return after an eight-year hiatus, rebranding as the Pittsburgh Indie Expo (PIE). The event will take place at the Heinz History Center on Sunday March 30, 2025 from 11am - 5pm. The event is all ages, open to the public, and admission to the Heinz History Center will be free for PIE attendees.

PIE will feature over 100 exhibitors, highlighting the creativity and innovation of original comics creators, zine makers, artists, indie game creators, and small press publishers in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. PIE creates a platform for Pittsburgh creators to build a professional community within the region, connect with creative makers across the country, and engage with the art-loving public.

The official poster is designed by local artist, Angela Oddling. Angela is a visual artist based in the woody hills of Western Pennsylvania. Her work weaves monsters and magic into the tales of everyday characters.

“I often create art which explores the not-so-fun and complicated parts of being a person and how they affect our journeys to self-love and acceptance. I aim to create a place of belonging and comfort within my work, and hope to make my readers feel a little less alone.” - Angela

Programming will include “A Slice of Pittsburgh,” an exhibition of original artwork by artists from Pittsburgh, and hands-on comics making workshops for all ages. This exhibition aims to curate, catalog, collect, and celebrate the amazing cartoonists and comics creators who call this city home! This is the debut edition of the Mobile Cartoon Museum, a project organized by Incubator Productions.

Additional details about programming, special guests, and lead-up events to come!
